    • RESEARCH ENGINEERING ACTIVITY

    Research engineering activity is arranged in cooperation with the experts of the ‘Department of steam and gas turbines’ laboratories of the Moscow Power Energy Institute (Technical University). Among the development works carried out by ENTEK Ltd. it is necessary to note the following:
  • The stop-control and control valves for steam turbines.
  • The steam withdrawal system from last turbine stage to the condenser.
  • Sliding liquid and gas fluid media flow rate controllers for pipelines with large diameters of pipes (above 400 mm).
  • Heat-exchange work surfaces for a cold part of regenerative rotary air-heaters.
  • Dynamic power surge limiter for NPP1 steam turbines.
  • New nozzle diaphragms for stage with rather short blades.
  • New protection system of against erosive wear of trailing edge of the last stage nozzle diaphragm – shield.
  • Vortex extinguisher.
  • LPT2 for cogeneration turbines.
  • Strengthening the edges of interfaced parts of half-molds with use of laser emission. All developments on energy equipment modernization have passed successful tests and improved the operational characteristics. The important fact is that the most of ENTEK Ltd. developments are successfully applied in working thermal power stations both in Russia and abroad.
    For the last ten years the ENTEK Ltd. Deputy general director for scientific affairs, honoured Scientist of Russia, Prof. A.E. ZARYANKIN, Department of steam and gas turbines, MPEI, – is a scientific chief for research engineering activity.
